OutlookFort is a high security backup service for the information generated by

  • Microsoft® Outlook

Service Features

  • Connection test - to make sure your backup service can access Internet connections through firewalls.
  • Single item restore - OutlookFort allows the restoration of accidentally deleted emails, contact or appointment information.
  • Full mailbox restore - Should your mailbox become lost or corrupted you can download the full .pst file from your OutlookFort backup.
  • Flexible scheduling - choose to periodically backup new items to maximize security. You can also choose to backup new data nightly while computer systems are not in use.
  • Guaranteed completion of email backups –Backing up full mailboxes has traditionally been a difficult process due to their size in relation to available internet connections. OutlookFort’s incremental backup feature assures that this is no longer an issue.
  • Low fixed price –Regardless of the size of your mailbox, there is only one monthly price for the service.

Setting up the service

1) Select folders for backup. You can backup the contents of any folder except the delete folder.

2) Select a time to complete the full backup. OutlookFort must do an initial full backup of everything existing in your Outlook. This can best be completed at a time when the computer will not be in use. Depending on how much information is in your mailbox and the available Internet connection, this can take a while.

3) Test connection. Select this menu option to determine if two way access to the Internet is available for OutlookFort.

Restoring data

Restoring data to a computer with an existing OutlookFort account

To restore data click on the archive radio button. Click the Restore button to reveal a list of folders or individual items to be restored to this computer. Click on the box to the left of each item or directory you wish to restore. Then click the 'Restore Now' button.

Restoring data to a new computer

If you need to restore data to a new computer you will first need to download the OutlookFort software onto the new machine. You will need your user name and password to pull in data to this computer.
